Personal Training – Lessons not sessions

I’ve had a few enquiries about how my personal training works, so it’s probably worth throwing a brief overview together.

My approach is part educational, part physical.

Let me explain.

I work primarily with beginners, or at least not seasoned gym goers. Age is the only variable but my approach is as follows.

  • Establish a goal, and preferably the reasons behind it.
  • Make an honest assessment of your present condition.
  • Establish both a timeline and plan of action to take you from B to A.
  • Give you the independence and knowledge to keep yourself consistent without the need for me.

That last point is important. There is no shortage of people who require help in their desire for a healthier lifestyle.

My job, I believe is to empower you with the knowledge to:

  • maintain a consistent approach with both physical activity and nutrition.
  • be able to decipher some of the marketing speak of fitness charlatans
  • to understand why extremes in physical activity and nutrition create more problems than they solve.
